Why is Obama having the AFL-CIO have a ‘counter protest’ outside his stagecrafted town hall in NH? Exempt?

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 by admin

Didn’t the unions negotiate to be exempt from Obamacare? I mean, Congress and Obama sure don’t want to be in it, the unions want not to be in it, and THOSE are the people they can drum up to support it — pretty telling, I think.

And of course attendence is invitation only, so you can’t expect any ‘hard’ questions to be addressed.

What do you think?

"The New Hampshire Republican Volunteer Coalition is urging members to make sure their side gets heard, since Obama’s event will be “staged.’’

“There will be news media from all over the world at this event and it will be the ideal opportunity for us to tell the rest of the country exactly how N.H. voters feel about Obamacare (taxed/rationed healthcare). It will be the most important pro-liberty event of the year in N.H. and it is critically important that every one of us attend,’’ the coalition said in a call-to-arms invitation obtained by NBC News.

The AFL-CIO, which supports the Democratic healthcare bills, plans a counter-protest outside the town hall. “New Hampshire workers desperately need major healthcare reform and we will not let our voices be silenced by the corporate-funded mobs on the other side,’’ state AFL-CIO president Mark MacKenzie said in a statement."

And who is funding people? I want some! I know the insurance companies and big drug companies love the Dem plan which compells 300 million to buy insurance, and Pharma is spending $150 million to push it, and AARP which has an insurance brokerage arm is spending millions to push it… so which corporate interests, exactly, are supposed to be on our side?
Moose, most of us had never heard of those guys until you folks started telling us they were our puppet masters. They may have some pockets of people in some town somewhere, but they aren’t in any sense able to mobilize people all over the nation. Because I’d have heard of them before if they were.
Personally, I hope the opponents to the plan carry, some of them, signs saying ‘Obama audience is stacked’ etc. so the media will know what is going on.

Sheesh why do people pbring up misleading "facts" Our death rates of those under 5 is due to alcohol and drug addiction. We have a system in place to help poor mothers get prenatal care. Well at least in California.

What would a careful research ask about a website called "facts and pesticides an health’ publish by coalition

If a weighted voting system has 5 voters, calculate the total number of: Banzhaf coalitions.?

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 by admin

Please tell me how you got the answer so i know for future reference.
Please show how you got the answer. I need to know

assuming you mean 3 out of 5 are necessary to secure power.

There are no Banzhaf coalitions of 4 members or more, because dropping any 1 would still yield a winning coalition.
The matter is simply picking 3 out of 5, and there are 5C3 = 10 possible coalitions.

Who are prominent Liberals who publicly support the coalition government?

Posted on December 22nd, 2009 by admin

Rumour has it that Ignatieff was against (but is now towing the party line and supporting it), Dion is a has-been and it probably doesn’t matter whether he supports it or not, Chretien and Martin have lent their support but are officially retired from politics. Who are prominent Grits who have come out in support of the coalition?

All liberals supported the coalition. There was no voice anywhere in the party saying anything else. Of course, they’re all jumping around now pretending they didn’t support it. Funny how in just four days Dion has gone from the guy who every liberal wanted for PM to a down-and-out castaway that all the liberals hate and can’t wait to get rid of. What hypocrisy on the part of the liberals, if there was an election today Harper would have a 200+ seat majority according to the pollsters. Liberals can’t even decide how to get themselves a new leader…they’re a party full of infighting and are in total disarray.

Kevin Phillips – What’s Next for the Republican Coalition?

Posted on December 20th, 2009 by admin

Complete video at: http://fora.tv/fora/showthread.php?t=926

Former Nixon advisor and longtime Republican Party strategist Kevin Phillips predicts difficult times ahead for the modern Republican coalition.

—–

Kevin Phillips discusses “American Theocracy: The Peril and Politics of Radical Religion, Oil, and Borrowed Money in the 21st Century.”

Phillips predicted in 1969 that the growing populations of the South and West would build a stronger Republican Party and a more stable, orderly country. Four decades later, he is scathingly critical of the “erring Republican majority.” He addresses the expanding national debt, increasing oil consumption and the breakdown of the wall between religion and state. — Commonwealth Club

Kevin Phillips is a political writer and commentator. Formerly a Republican strategist, Phillips has become disaffected with his former party over the last two decades, and is now one of its harshest critics. He is a regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio, and is a political analyst on PBS’ NOW with Bill Moyers.
