Scott Brown Honored to Speak to Tea Party Coalition

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin

from Scott Brown for Senate conference call on 12.29.09:

Caller 5: Oh great, my name is Brooks Baine and I with the National Tea Party Coalition.

SB: Hey Brooks how are ya?

Caller 5: Hey, Im great.

SB: Thanks for your efforts and all of you friends, thats a great, great group.

Caller 5: Yea, we just had some meetings recently about your campaign so.

SB: I had the honor of speaking in Worcester which I was truly moved by the effort, it was Democrats, Republicans, young, old, happy, sad, rich, poor, people just showing how they felt and doing it in a really enthusiastic and respectful manner.

Caller 5: Absolutely, I was curious, actually, we were curious, how much communication occurs between you and Laura and the National GOP? An how there was even a story ran today?

SB: First of all dont believe every thing you read, and secondly, my quotes there are I think the only ones you should listen too which is everything that we have asked for we got, the other stuff I am not quite sure, I did not read the article, but I was briefed on it, and it was a great picture, a nice front page picture. First time on the Herald on the front page, so that was a good way to go. But we are very excited about what is happening all around the state and all around the country at this point, and the national party has fulfilled anything weve wanted them to do, and we have had very specific requests, and remember in the primary, my opponent spent $500,000 and I spent $40,000, and ah, you know one of the democrat candidates, spent $10 million and he came
in last, so its not about the money, we need ah, we need help with logistics and other types of technology types of things which we have got, and we need other things as well I really cant talk about. So we are satisfied and I would encourage people to certainly tweet and get
more votes. But for what we need right now, we are good.

Caller 5: So you have, is there anything else that they can do to help?

SB: We ask them and we talk about it and they run it through the food chain, but right now we are good on everything that we have asked for.

Caller 5: Alright great, over all, I just wanted to see if there is anything else we can do to help

SB: Get everyone out man, its gonna be a close election, get everybody out who is home any kids who are going back before the 19th and the elders or any others who will be away on that long weekend, or kinda afraid they may be stuck in a snow storm, just tellem they can go down right now and vote, you can go to brownforussenate.com and take a ballot and so they can donate, they can volunteer, but they can go down to town hall today, and remember tomorrow is the last day you can registrar to vote in this election if you have a youngster who just turned 18, somebody that just moved, I appreciate your efforts and tell
everyone I said hello, and Robert thank you for this opportunity, I have to move.
