Alex Salmond and Jon Snow – coalitions and Scotland’s fiscal autonomy
Posted on May 8th, 2010 by admin
Jon Snow asks Alex Salmond the by now all too familiar questions about what he would do if Cameron or Brown phoned him offering a deal. The First Minister is amused but patient, as always, and gives the same consistent answers he has given throughout the campaign.
Snow then gets on to the cuts, and gets equally familiar answers about Trident, ID cards, the House of Lords, etc.
Then he advances the unionist canard that Scotland can only afford its caring social policies because of English handouts. After a mild slap on Snow’s wrist about the theft of Scottish oil, Alex offers him the complete answer – give Scotland full fiscal economy and then both England and Scotland can stop moaning at each other and be friends and neighbours.
Why won’t Westminster do it?
Well, we know why – it’s about control, control, control, and the gnawing fear that torments every unionist – the certain knowledge that Scotland would prosper and embarrass the rump of the UK.

Hello fellow internet users, (LINKS BELOW)4 hours from when i am recording this, the most likely near final draft or the Anti-Piracy Coalition Treaty Agreement (that WORLD FIREWALLS, VPNS, AND ISPS WILL HAVE TO ABIDE BY) has been leaked. JUST ADDED THIS DUE TO READING A LOT MORE, AND A NEW INSIGHT: ”Shall not affect the possibility for a judicial or administrative authority, in accordance with the Parties legal system, requiring the service provider to terminate or prevent an infringement, nor does it affect the possibility of the parties establishing procedures governing the removal or disabling of access to information” With this wikipedia, wikileaks, heck even google knols will be at stake. This ”agreement” is abuse indeed. Lets say you got something against the goverment and you are just reminding on what the heck happened to those promises that particular politician made… Obviously ya create a website in order to say what you believe, now w/ this quote in particular is just the perfect ”excuse” for them to shot you down, just because they feel to do so. Not to mention disabling access to sources of information. cencored google much? This assfaced coalition takes every drop of freedom that the internet gave us. more info as well as the download here

Missouri Partners in Prevention (PIP) is the recipient of the 2009 Got Outcomes! Coalition of Excellence Award in the Coalition in Focus category, which recognizes coalitions that demonstrate contributions to community-wide declines for one substance-related issue. Formed in 2000, and based in Columbia, Missouri, this statewide coalition focuses on preventing high-risk drinking among Missouris college students, and serves approximately 110,000 students attending 13 public campuses and 6 private institutions. After initial assessments revealed high levels of binge drinking among students attending Missouri colleges, and significant correlations between binge drinking and students missing class and doing poorly on tests, the coalition developed a plan to reduce binge drinking by 5 percent in three years for each campus community. They implemented the evidence-based Community Trials intervention (a model program) to address the issue comprehensively. Coalition staff helped each campus set their own goals and individual strategic plans to address their unique local conditions. As a result of their efforts, campus communities have experienced numerous significant outcomes. For example, all member schools have increased campus personnel who address campus binge drinking, and campuses have seen a combined 10 percent reduction in student binge drinking behavior. When combining the efforts of each member campus, the coalition reports a 33 percent statewide reduction in binge drinking in the past two weeks among college students.
