Spoken like a true parliamentarian: no independent thought, no protest, speak with one voice, tow the party line, kowtow to the party leader. No wonder Canadians are increasingly disillusioned with politics “as usual” in this country. I think we deserve, at last, some people who actually put their constituents first as opposed to their party – better yet, cut the partisan element out entirely! No one says we need political parties for democracy – have everyone be independent!
