   Bookhound, I registered Rep when I was 18, and was 8 years old when President Reagan was elected. I was raised with conservative values, and hold those values true to my core. They create my core.

   I want a strong Rep party in CA. I don’t want fence-sitting moderates anymore. This state and this country need strong leaders. Truthfully, in my opinion, Gov. Schwarzenegger is R in name only now and can’t be counted upon as a party leader.

   I like Fiorina, Issa, Maldonado and Stricklands.

   Chairman Steele’s a good guy. He’s not a Reagan, but no one is. California’s got a solid team in John Campbell, Darrell Issa, David Dreier, Duncan D. Hunter, Tom McClintock, Kevin McCarthy, Van Tran, and governor-to-be Meg Whitman. We need more conservative leaders like them.

   I have been a Republican since the first time I was old enough to vote. I voted for Reagan, You sir, are no Reagan.
   Over time I have come to realize that I am not a Republican. I am a conservative, leaning toward libertarianism. I would like for the Republican party to put forward a truly conservative candidate in 2012. Otherwise, I’m going libertarian.
