Agricultural Engineering Limited is a small, UK based, company that specialises in the manufacture of a wide range of special purpose agricultural equipment, usually individually made to order for a diverse customer base. The previous owner, now aged seventy, wanted to sell the business and retire. Five months ago, four of the twenty employees borrowed money against their houses and bought the company. The previous draughtsman bought 35% of the shares and now acts as Company Director with the production engineer, now Production Director, buying 30%, the inspector, now Quality Director, buying 20% and the storekeeper, now Logistics Director, buying the remaining 15%. The fifteen production workers were employed in their existing roles with no change of pay or conditions.

Erfunden is a rural country relying principally on agriculture with thousands of small farmers each owning a patch of land that they cultivate, mainly by hand, to produce enough to feed themselves and have a little to sell at the local market. The country is technically a democracy, but several powerful families have undue influence on government policy. The minority (45%) government rules with a coalition made up of six out of the ten smaller parties with the opposition (35%) party constantly trying to split the coalition and form the government.
The Prime Minister of Erfunden, wants to bring his country into the twenty-first century by improving the current very primitive farming methods, amalgamating many small farms into larger, more economic, units and concentrating on cash crops. As part of this plan he wishes to place an order with Agricultural for three hundred of their patented automatic ploughs at £6,000 each for delivery within twelve months. The value of this order is more than twice their usual annual turnover.

With their current process layout and working practices, even concentrating exclusively on this order, Agricultural does not have the capacity to produce this quantity of ploughs within the timescale. The Production Director, however, believes that by concentrating exclusively on this order, moving the existing machines to form a product layout, buying a new 150 Ton press (which will require the existing floor to be locally strengthened and a new power supply installed) for £60,000 from a company in China, requiring the production workers to work more flexibly and working a six-day week they can meet the order on time.

I have to Prepare the BUSINESS CASE for the Production Director’s project presenting the arguments for and against, including a stakeholder and risk analysis and looking at alternative ways they could meet this order. On the basis of your analysis what would be YOUR advice to the company and WHY.

Assuming that they decided to go ahead: – i have to Prepare a detailed plan including a WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE and RISK MANAGEMENT PROPOSALS for the Production Director’s project including all aspects, not just repositioning of the machine tools and the installation of the new press.
can any 1 able to help me out in this problem

This is a pretty complex request. I do some of this for a living, and it takes days to put something like this together. I’m guessing no one will help you for free.

I know that I have asked this already, I am posting it again to get more replies from more people.

Some background first, in my city people have been fired or denied access to the restroom because they were glbt. A local advocacy group proposed a city ordinance be adopted by the council to make it illegal for businesses to evict glbt’s from their residence, deny them access to the gender appropriate lavatory, or to fire an employee in a secular position because they are glbt. A religious coalition was then formed to oppose this ordinance. That started these forums.

This is the second of three forums discussing whether a committee on diversity should approve a city ordinance to prevent employers and land lords from firing people because they were glbt, evicting them and/or throwing them out of the restroom for the same reason. What I need from y’all is studies that disprove a nurture cause for homosexuality, studies that prove a biological cause, biblical verses that would support my arguments that religion is not a relevant issue, and any other relevant information or argument.

This is what I have so far:
1. Even, for the sake of argument, if homosexuality is a choice, why should we be barred from making that choice? We are allowed to get tattoos and piercings.
2. I was asked where does it stop. My answer is that freedom will stop when the minorities rights are no longer violated. This opens up a whole bunch of issues so I will clarify that, I mean when the majority is no longer in control of whether a person can choose a particular lifestyle; within reason of course, pedophiles cannot be allowed to molest children. There is clear harm in that, emotional, physical, and mental.
3. Following that we must define what a right is. Now I am not a scholar on what a right is vs a privilege vs an ability, but I would define a right as an endowed ability or protection granted by a higher power; whatever that may be. An example, people have the right to modify their bodies as they see fit. Tattoos, piercings, surgery. Essentially a right to choose whatever they want provided that choice does not damage others to the point that the choice is exceedingly detrimental to others.
4. The argument was made that passing this ordinance would force my beliefs on others who oppose this ordinance. My answer is simple, forcing you to do anything would involve the use of force to get the other party to commit an act against their will. In this case, I am not forcing them to hire glbt people. I am instead, preventing them from infringing upon my right to make a choice; what to do (career wise), who to love, or where to live.
5. It was said that repeating that the causes are biological does not make it true without proof. My answer: the same is true of a nurture cause.
6. I might bring up the kinsey scale, I’m not sure.
7. A few other things I hope to address: feeling comfortable in the bathroom, religion is a protected class, why glbt people are afraid of christians, people being allowed to fire people over the most mundane things, legalizing morality, and the belief that this ordinance pushes my views on others.

Any critique of the above stated issues is appreciated and particularly links or citations of credible studies (biological) and non credible studies (nurture) are also welcome.

Sexuality and religion must not mix since religion must not dictate on what to do with nature. Although sex is inborn, a person has the choice on what type of sex he wants when he grows up. Tell this to the people who oppose your sexuality.

There are very few stations out there that are dance music formatted in the US. What I mean by dance is house, trance, electro, club oriented tracks.

Right now, my group, the Metro New York Dance Radio Coalition is pushing for Edun – Put Them Up for radio airplay. You could see the video for it on http://www.myspace.com/nydanceradio (DISCLAIMER : No one is paying me to do this). Would you push your local radio stations to play dance music (along with R&B, hip-hop, pop and alternative) on Top 40/CHR radio?

Thanks,
TONY SANTIAGO
Cool,

We’ve lost our dance station…WKTU, in New York City (turning Rhythmic A/C). That’s why we are gunning for dance songs on WHTZ (Z-100). And as long as people such as yourself make demands, maybe change can happen for the better

The best way to try and get a song played on the radio is to contact their Music or Program Director. Each station usually has a website where you can find the name and address of this person. Here’s the contact information for Z100 New York:

WHTZ Music Director: Romeo
P.O. Box 7100
New York, NY 10150

Earlier in the week, Stupak promised that he and a small coalition of Democrats stood ready to derail the House’s upcoming final vote on the healthcare legislation if their anti-abortion requirements were not met.

1) Halliburton billed taxpayers $1.4 billion in questionable and undocumented charges under its contract to supply troops in Iraq, as documented by the Pentagon’s own auditors.

2) Parsons billed taxpayers over $200 million under a contract to build 142 health clinics, yet completed fewer than 20. According to Iraqi officials, the rest were “imaginary clinics.”

3) Custer Battles stole forklifts from Iraq’s national airline, repainted them, then leased the forklifts back to the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) through a Cayman Islands shell company — charging an extra fee along the way.

4) Halliburton allowed our troops in Iraq to shower, bathe, and sometimes brush their teeth with water that tested positive for e. coli and coliform bacteria. One expert has said that the troops would have been better off using the highly polluted Euphrates River.
5) Halliburton served the troops food that had spoiled or passed its expiration date. Halliburton managers ordered employees to remove bullets from food in trucks that had come under attack, then saved the bullets as souvenirs while giving the food to unwitting soldiers and Marines.

6) Halliburton charged taxpayers for services that it never provided and tens of thousands of meals that it never served.

7) Halliburton double-charged taxpayers for $617,000 worth of soda.

Halliburton tripled the cost of hand towels, at taxpayer expense, by insisting on having its own embroidered logo on each towel.

9) Halliburton employees burned new trucks on the side of the road because they didn’t have the right wrench to change a tire — and knew that the trucks could be replaced on a profitable “cost-plus” basis, at taxpayer expense.
10) Halliburton employees dumped 50,000 pounds of nails in the desert because they ordered the wrong size, all at taxpayer expense.

11) Halliburton employees threw themselves a lavish Super Bowl Party, but passed the cost on to taxpayers by claiming they had purchased supplies for the troops.

12) Halliburton chose a subcontractor to build an ice factory in the desert even though its bid was 800 percent higher than an equally qualified bidder.

13) Halliburton actively discouraged cooperation with U.S. government auditors, sent one whistleblower into a combat zone to keep him away from auditors, and put another whistleblower under armed guard before kicking her out of the country.
14) Halliburton sent unarmed truck drivers into a known combat zone without warning them of the danger, resulting in the deaths of six truck drivers and two soldiers. Halliburton then offered to nominate the surviving truck drivers for a Defense Department medal — provided they sign a medical records release that doubled as a waiver of any right to seek legal recourse against the company.

15) Halliburton’s no-bid contract to rebuild Iraq’s oil infrastructure was the worst case of contract abuse that the top civilian at the Army Corps of Engineers had ever seen. She was demoted after speaking out.

16) Under its no-bid contract to rebuild Iraq’s oil infrastructure contract, Halliburton overcharged by over 600 percent for the delivery of fuel from Kuwait.

17) Halliburton failed to complete required work under its oil infrastructure work, leaving distribution points unusable.
18) Iraq under the CPA was like the “Wild West,” with few limits and controls over how inexperienced officials spent — and wasted — millions of taxpayer dollars.

19) Cronies at the CPA’s health office lacked experience, ignored the advice of international health professionals, failed to restore Iraq’s health systems, and wasted millions of taxpayer dollars. The political appointee who ran the office had never worked overseas and had no international public health experience.

20) Administration officials promoted construction of a “boondoggle” children’s hospital in Basra, which ended up more than a year behind schedule and at least 100 percent over budget.
http://democrats.senate.gov/dpc/dpc-new2.cfm?doc_name=inv2

That Cheney and Bush are brought up on charges — while their brainless 30 percenters sleep (see other posts here)– is all the justice one can ask.
