It’s amazing what an uneducated naive, immature liberal can come up with.

1-Passing the current Health Care plan will not provide care for the millions that need it. Even the Dems agree to this.

2-It is impossible for the corporate world compete with an entity that has no need to worry about the cost of opeations, can print their own money if needed, and demand people use their product.

3-Public option provides no power to the sub scribers, it only limits the care they receive. Look at any country that has government helath care

4-What ownership? when the people who accept Government care is the same as accepting welfare another loosing government project.

5-Price of drugs are not reduced in price, in fact drugs in those countries that have government care, the cost of drugs are higher and limited to those that need them

6-A very small percentage of people go bankrupt because of their health, going bankrupt is better than havingyour life expectancy cut short like in countries with socialized medical programs

7-The cost of Government run plan is higher than in the private sector. – As Obama says look at FedEx & UPS, both of them are making money while the government’s postal service looses billions a year

8-Businesses wont make out on the government since the government is raising taxes on them, the US has the second highest tax rate in the free world

9-No fact can prove the republicans are wrong but history supporfts the fact that the government can not run health care orf any other business.

10-Meltdowns,- be serious

The US has the most expensive health care system in the world and it is considered the best, could be its privately run.
The US has the mostly costly education system in the world and it among the worst – could be that it’s run by the Government

1:If you want to create competition ,then you give consumers the ability to purchase policies across state lines, 2:if the government can lower cost then why are they raising the cost of premiums on medicare? 3:Giving Americans a sense of ownership means lowering their taxes and letting them shop and purchase their own policy not forcing them into a govt. system that only creates welfare.4: why is their no discussion on tort reform which is one of the things that creates the most unnecessary cost increases in healthcare {maybe because the dems are in bed with the slip and fall lawyers?} 5: why should hard working Americans be forced to pay for healthcare for illegals? 6: Just giving someone something only increases dependancy,if they have to earn it it creates pride. 7: If the liberal left is so much for " healthcare for all" then why havent they ever created a pool and all pitched in to help those without health insurance? {because they are only giving with our tax dollars and not their own money} 8: Palin,Rush,Hannity,Levine etc. will be around long after Obama is out of office. 9: If the democrats are so sure of this bill then why havent they just went ahead and passed it? {because they know Americans will let them know in 2010-2012 how they feel about it by voting them out} 10: poll after poll shows The MAJORITY of Aamericans DO NOT want this healthcare plan and the democrats are scared to push it thru otherwise it would be done considering they have control of congress and the house, so ask yourself why is it stalled? . How do private universities compete with public, state-funded universities that don’t have to worry about making a profit?

By your logic, why do private schools still exist?

EDIT, still to Lurch: If you didn’t believe that private insurance companies would provide better health care, you would helplessly support the public option. People who do not support the public option argue that the government-funded care would be of a lower quality. And how am I comparing apples to oranges? Just because you say I am doesn’t mean you’re correct.

How do you expect private companies to compete with the Government when:

A. The Government doesn’t have to show a profit.
B. The Government makes all the rules.
C. The Government can impose taxes on the companies it’s "competing" with.

Ze: Because many people feel that private schools offer a better education. Am I going to receive "better" health care if I stick with a private insurance company? You are comparing apples to oranges.

The only consequence of a public option will be the eventual collapse of the health insurance industry as a whole.
