G’Dub didn’t listen did he?

Bush Jr. never did listen to Daddy, did he?
"We would have been forced to occupy Baghdad and, in effect rule Iraq. The coalition would have instantly collapsed. … Going in and thus unilaterally exceeding the United Nations mandate would have destroyed the precedent of international response to aggression we hoped to establish. Had we gone the invasion route, the United States could conceivably still be an occupying power in a bitterly hostile land. It would have been a dramatically different – and perhaps barren – outcome."

- George H.W. Bush, 1992
Nice one Iss
East Coaster – The point is, you dumb azs, Bush senior recognized the trap invading Iraq would be. His son wasn’t that smart.

That is so true and makes Bush Sr. look like a genius and his son look like a petulant little child who thought he could out do his father. Now, all of America is paying for his folly, not to mention the Iraqi people.

No, but then GW Senior wasn’t the President in 2003.

Wow! Three responses, thank you [though I'm not from Arizona]. My point was [and I'll explain it simply for you] that GW Senior was a President at a different time, under different circumstances. He was not operating under the same circumstances as in 2003. His policies as were President Clinton’s were "Different". His response as were Clinton’s were different. Now with that being said, did he make a mistake [I} think so and evidently so does he. However the US is there now and one of two things will occur. Either we will stabilize the country and neutralize the threats of Syria and Iran or we won't. If we do things will pretty much get back to the status quo. If we don't then you'll have a regional terrorist regime, free to train and export their ideology to wherever in the world they wish to. In five years you will be exposed to the risk that this Regime is potentially arming these [terrorist] cells with nuclear weapons in support of their JIHAD. If that turns out to be the case you may well have a strike from ISRAEL into the SYRIA/Iran Alliance which could well set off WW III.

Was that simple enough for you?

You would have thought that Senior could have talked some sense into Junior. But, now that he doesn’t have to face the music for making the mistakes, Senior can just sit back and count his money–along with his good friends, the bin Laden family.
