God Bless Canada , the land of the free…

I know no one who likes the coalition idea. Why? It was not put to a vote. That’s what the libs/ndp/bloc and their supporters don’t get. In Canada we vote for our government, we do not have it rammed down our throats or otherwise imposed on us. I
The Nordic countries make up a region in Northern Europe called the Nordic region, consisting of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden
Right, because in Countries which often operate with coalition cabinets, they have their government rammed down their throats. People living in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Israel, New Zealand, Pakistan and India. Switzerland has been regularly oppressed by dictatorship coalition of the four strongest parties in parliament.
God bless Canada, U.S and the U.K, where freedom and democracy rings and rings and rings.

nice satire.
however i’ve seen crazier video in my “what english canadians think of quebec” youtube marathon to rile me up a little.
btw PR would make our parliament even less productive with a perpetual minority government. maybe a system like germany could work… (1/2 proportional, 1/2 plurality vote like we have right now)
most of votes are wasted, I agree. something has to be done about it.

If proportional representation was implemented in Canada, the Maurijuana Party would have a seat in Parliament, and I believe the communist party would as well.

It was in the economic update presented by the Harper conservative, perhaps you need to learn the facts about your party’s “economic update” first, before commenting. Thanks.

That issue has …
That issue has nothing to do with the economy, wasn’t addressed in the financial statement, nor brought up in the coalition Accord. Meaningless.
(Oh, aside from the general anti-PC rhetoric.)
If the parties had economic ideas, they’re silent. If it’s the Accord, it’s a joke.
This is a pure power grab. If you do not see that, please continue with your bias. We clearly need your kind of people in office.
February 27th, 2010 at 11:08 am
The issue still …
The issue still becomes the reasons for this loss of confidence, and the capacity for the other parties to govern. All the talk I’ve heard is anti-Conservative rhetoric. Considering the attitude of the House, the economic joke that is the Accord, and the recent change in Liberal leader, I’ve little faith in the coalition addressing any economic issues.
I haven’t heard any economic plan discussed in the House by them. Just power grabbing. If you don’t see this, the bias is clear.

D’oh Canada! Survey …
D’oh Canada! Survey reveals Canadians barely understand political system
For example, results of the Ipsos Reid survey show 75 per cent of Canadians asked believe the prime minister, or the Governor General, is head of state. Bzzzz – wrong.
24 per cent managed to answer correctly, according to the poll provided exclusively to The Canadian Press.
59 per cent correctly picked constitutional monarchy.
51 per cent wrongly agreed that Canadians elect the prime minister directly.
