We can’t trust the insurance industry with health care reform!

Posted on April 17th, 2010 by admin

In Washington, DC on Tuesday, March 10th, hundreds of people rallied for real health care reform and against the insurance industry: http://www.healthcareforamericanow.org

America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the main health insurance industry lobbyist group, was having a “health care reform” conference, trying to pay lip service to reform while at the same time, opposing the heart of President Obama’s health care reform plan. We wanted to make sure America saw through the insurance industry’s lies. They are the enemy of health care reform.

A broad coalition of reform supporters, from proponents of Obama’s health care plan to single payer advocates, tried to present Karen Ignagni, AHIP’s CEO, with an award for “Best Protector of Profits at the Expense of Our Health.” She was too scared to face the crowd and accept the award, but Health Care for America Now will make sure it follows her around the country until she accepts.

St. Louis Tea Party November 28 2009 at Kiener Plaza

Posted on April 10th, 2010 by admin

Footage of patriots at the St. Louis Tea Party on November 28, 2009. The Gulag was put up by the Washington University Young Americans for Liberty. I didn’t get a whole lot of footage as we were busy getting petitions signed to audit the Federal Reserve Board and to oppose the current Health Control bill that the collectivist socialists in the Senate are trying to force on the American people despite a large majority of Americans who oppose it.

Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee Promo Video

Posted on March 8th, 2010 by admin

The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) began in 2001 as a task force of health professionals seeking to create an organization that served as a contact point for Tennessee. The task force quickly became a Coalition of both professionals and community members dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting those affected by disordered eating.

In September 2002, the EDCT received its 501 (c)(3) status. Since that time, the organization has been educating people across the state about the impact of eating disorders on the lives of individuals and their families. The EDCT continually serves as a resource for Tennesseans seeking assistance and support.

The mission of the EDCT is to offer hope, help and support to all who are impacted by disordered eating.

We Accomplish Our Mission By:

Educating patients, families, professionals, and the community about eating disorders

Facilitating a network of health care professionals to increase the availability of training opportunities and treatment resources for persons affected by eating disorders

Advocating to both public and private sectors for compassionate, comprehensive, and accessible treatment for patients and families suffering from eating disorders

Encouraging community-based outreach to foster prevention

Supporting research into causes, prevention, and treatment outcomes
