War Against Alternative Health Care & Nutrition

Our Rights Are Under Attack!
Historically speaking, the citizens of Texas have long enjoyed a health care environment which has allowed a vigorous and effective complementary and alternative medicine(CAM) health care community to flourish in this state. The 2005 legislative session convincingly demonstrated that this environment has forever changed. Unless the citizens of Texas band together to codify their freedom to access the health care modalities of their choice, progressively more onerous restrictions on health care choice will be imposed by economically motivated special interest groups and their allies in the legislature. The time has come to act.

Radhia Gleis is a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, C.C.N. She is also a Certified BioNutritional Analyst. She has a Ph.D. in pastoral counseling and a M.Ed. in nutrition. She is a professional member of the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists, (I.A.A.C.N), and the American Naturopathic Medical Association (A.N.M.A.).

The International Women’s Health Coalition honored Graça Machel with an award at our 2009 gala, but she couldn’t be there in person so we taped a video interview with her.

Graça Machel is President of the Foundation for Community Development (FDC), a not-for-profit Mozambiquan organization she founded in 1994 that makes grants to civil society organizations to strengthen communities, facilitate social and economic justice, and assist in the reconstruction and development of post-war Mozambique.
