In a life driven by …
In a life driven by reason where does morality come from? Is there a set code of rights and wrongs? Is there an absolute truth or is truth made relative?
In a kife driven by reason we are simply freaks of natures and there could not possibly be a reason to live.

man what a corny …
man what a corny video, but i agree with it. altho i gotta wonder, did they use “non-theist” so much because “atheist” is somehow a filthy word? I know they said “atheist” once at the end at least, but still.

Your …
Your presuppositionalism is faulty–none of the things you list presuppose Christianity. All of them have been formulated independently of Christianity, including significant development before Christianity even existed.

I agree with your …
I agree with your response to BubbaCoop, and would further add that Christianity borrows heavily from not just Judaism but lots of other religions, so if that were a problem (it isn’t), Christianity would suffer from it just as much as atheism.
And it’s not a problem, because the source of an idea need not be the source of its credibility and justification. If you assume that it is, you’re committing the genetic fallacy.

I agree with the …
I agree with the gist of the video, but I find the assumption in its title misguided. There is a difference between “a life not guided by unreason” and “a life guided by reason”.
I am often very unreasonable. It’s how I listen to music, laugh, get angry, eat cheese. At these times I like to keep my reason on a short leash. In fact, at many times I like it to be guided by my unreasoned experiences.
I’m being a tad cheeky, I know. But I prefer my atheism undefined by deism.

If one is standing …
If one is standing in the middle of the road and a bus is speeding toward one a choice must be made. One can either choose to move out of the street, based on an understanding of the nature of the bus, its speed, one’s position relative to the bus. Or one can choose to tightly shut one’s eyes and continue to stand there and talk to one’s self while just hoping it all turns out fine. Reason is not debatable it is obvious. Reason is the way in which things are achieved. Well done ArizonaCOR! !

I watched a video of a dog pulling another dog that was hit by a car out of traffic. I wonder what religion the hero dog is?

I guess people just don’t want to face the truth.

BubbaCoop,
…
BubbaCoop,
Ethics is a branch of philosophy. Ethical systems pre-date Christianity, and Christianity isn’t the only religion to have an ethical system. Many ethical systems, like Kant and Bentham, do not have religion in it.
Take an Introduction to Philosophy class at your local college to learn about various ethical systems.
Religion and philosophy, while there is some overlap, are basically two different fields.
To imply Christianity is the only ethical code is just silly.

Your worldview, …
Your worldview, however, can not account for reason, laws of logic, uniformity of nature, the reliability of senses, or morality required for knowledge, science, rationality, or ethics. You have to borrow from Biblical Christianity in order to attempt to disprove it. It’s like arguing out loud that there’s no such thing as air, meanwhile using your lungs to do so.

Ahhhh you are a …
Ahhhh you are a tool. Religion is make believe. Reason is in the here and now.

To better market yourselves, I suggest showing a little more bliss. Only two speakers smiled.

If you don’t see …
If you don’t see the difference between religion and reason, then the “compare and contrast” questions in high school level exams must have been a nightmare for you.
There is a world of difference between groups that rely completely on faith, and those that utterly reject it.
Pretty obvious.

I guess it boils …
I guess it boils down to what you think is more likely to bring us closer to utopia, faith or reason.
I’m going with reason…

This reminds me so …
This reminds me so much of the Jehavah’s Witnesses. I was turned off by their message and I am turned off by this one. This is just another group preaching utopia. Their messages are always the same but put in diffferent forms “all we have to do is…………”. This group is saying all we have to do is live a life driven by reason. I really don’t see any difference between this and religion. It all comes down to faith in their message and methods.
